International students are welcome to participate in co-op and gain the opportunity to work locally in Vancouver or Kelowna, nationally across Canada, or internationally as part of their academic studies. We encourage all international students’ to consult the eligibility requirements and consider applying to the UBC Engineering Co-op program.
On average, between seven to nine per cent of Engineering Co-op students work internationally in over 20 countries each year. You can find our UBC Engineering Co-op students working in mines in Australia, developing software in the U.S., planning roads in Peru and surveying tunnels and dams in Japan.
